Le LLM / MPhil en Droits de l'Homme et Démocratisation en Afrique est un programme unique auquel 25 à 30 candidats de pays africains avec les diplômes suivants et de préférence une expérience dans le domaine des droits de l'homme sont admis:

• Étudiants en droit
  Un diplôme permettant l'accès à la profession d'avocat (par exemple LLB ou  licence en droit )
• Autres étudiants
  Au moins un baccalauréat spécialisé dans une discipline liée aux droits de la personne et à la démocratisation

Au cours d'un cours intensif d'un an, ils sont enseignés par d'éminents conférenciers dans le domaine des droits de l'homme et acquièrent une expérience pratique inestimable. C'est le seul cours du genre en Afrique.

Les candidats doivent posséder d'excellentes références académiques et démontrer une expérience ou un intérêt en matière de droits de l'homme. Les femmes, ainsi que les membres de groupes minoritaires tels que les populations autochtones, les personnes LGBTI et les personnes handicapées, sont particulièrement encouragés à postuler.

The LLM/MPhil in Human Rights and Democratisation in Africa is a unique programme to which 25 to 30 applicants from African countries with the following degrees and preferably experience in the field of human rights are admitted:

  At least an Honours degree in a discipline relevant to human rights and democratisation

During an intensive one-year course, they are taught by eminent lecturers in the field of human rights and gain invaluable practical exposure. It is the only course of its kind in Africa.

Applicants must have excellent academic credentials and demonstrate human rights experience or interest. Women, as well as members of minority groups such as indigenous people, LGBTI persons and persons with disabilities, are particularly encouraged to apply.

2018 Fully Funded Deutsche Welle Master’s Scholarships in International Media Studies, Germany

Deutsche Welle, Germany's international broadcaster is currently accepting applications for fully funded Master's Scholarship Program in "International Media Studies". The Master's Program is a joint project from the University of Bonn, the Bonn-Rhein-Sieg University of Applied Sciences and Deutsche Welle.

The program is designed primarily for young journalists, media managers and communications staff who come from developing and transition countries, and particularly from Africa, Asia, Latin America and Eastern Europe. However, Germans, EU citizens, Canadians, Americans and Australians can also apply.

DW Akademie is Germany's leading organization for international media development. They believe that independent media and responsible journalism are essential worldwide.

Scholarship Description:

• Study Subject: Scholarships are awarded to study international media studies. The IMS is conducted in English and German and combines the disciplines media and development, journalism, communication science and media management.
• Scholarship Award: Deutsche Welle is granting full scholarship to up to 10 applicants each year. Prospective students from developing countries can apply for the full scholarship. The scholarship is 750 € per month covering costs for living and accommodation. The tuition fee and the flight will be also reimbursed.
